The icon of the Lord
Almighty (Pantocrator) is the central, most important and most important image
in Orthodox Christianity. Jesus Christ appears here as the Heavenly King and
Judge, who holds the fates of the whole world. With his right hand, the Lord
blesses everyone who turns to Him with prayer, and in his left hand he holds
the unfolded Holy Gospel with an instructive text.
This holy image is the
spiritual foundation of any Christian home. The icon of the Almighty is
traditionally the main part of the wedding couple (along with the Kazan Mother
of God), the primary element of the home iconostasis, as well as the most
valuable spiritual gift for loved ones for weddings, christenings,
housewarmings or anniversaries.
