The Ark was created for the reverent preservation and veneration of great Christian shrines. The central element of the inner side of the hinged lid is a large three-dimensional bas-relief depicting an eight-pointed Orthodox cross on Golgotha with traditional sacred inscriptions (ИС ХС, НИКА, ЦРЬ СЛВЫ). The cross is surrounded by elegant plant shoots and curls.
