For the first time, this monograph is the result of a two-year interactive project on Iryna Farion's YouTube channel “Anti-Englishism,” where 68 videos were recorded with the interpretation of Englishisms and their Ukrainian equivalents. This is not the first time we have contrasted the unique with the global, the national with the cosmopolitan, the traditional with the fashionable, our own with someone else's, and thus the eternal with the transient. We define the primacy of specific words in the midst of political pressure and anti-national tendencies. Nothing tears the deceitful veil off the world like words - our own and others'. The overarching idea of the work is “Foreigners?” - only in despair and of high quality!
